Team Up On Missions
Invite your favorite peers to work with you as a team on amazing missions.
We started A.Team because we believe that there's no greater feeling than building with a great team, but every job and hiring platform was built around the individual. If you were a company, there was no easy way to bring on a great team. If you were a highly-skilled product builder, there was no easy way to join one. Our dream was to crack the science of bringing great teams together.
The “Team Up” feature is a big step towards fulfilling that dream. We’re making it easier for you tobuild with the people you enjoy collaborating with the most. It allows you to choose the people you want to work with and apply to missions together. And since we know that having a pre-formed team that wants to work together are more likely to succeed on a mission, you’re more likely to land a role when you apply as a team.
Team Up on Missions
When applying to missions with multiple roles, you’ll be invited to select builders you’d like to team up with after submitting your application. On this page, you can invite other people you’d like to work with to apply to the mission with you.
You can invite multiple people to team up and apply to the mission, even if their roles overlap. For example, if you’re a product manager applying to a product management role and there’s also a product designer role available, you can invite as many product designers as you’d like to apply to the mission with. A.Team will consider all of the individual and team applications and select the best pair for the mission.
The builders you invite will have to apply to the mission and accept your request to team up for you to be considered as a team. Note: If you and a teammate both apply to the same exact role, you won’t be considered a team.
Manage your team
After you’ve applied, you can view the status of your application and any team up requests by heading to Applied Missions. From there, you can also add more teammates and accept any requests you’ve received from other builders.
Creating teams with multiple builders
Team Up requests are between you and the builder you invite, meaning only you and your teammate can see your request to team up with each other. If you want to create a team with multiple builders, make sure each member of your team requests each other, making the strongest case for a compatible team.
Receiving an invite to Team Up
When another user invites you to team up, you’ll receive an email and platform notification, alerting you to the invite. When you open the mission, you’ll also see the builders that have invited you to team up.
Declining a Team Up request
If you’ve already applied to a mission and are invited to team up, you can accept or decline the request on the applied missions page by navigating to that specific application.
