Mission Offboarding
Tie up loose ends and gracefully close out your mission
Mission coming to an end? Say goodbye on a good note. Here’s how to close out your mission — so you can join your next team.
Offboard your mission in six easy steps:
Step 1: Create a plan.
Reach out to Mission Success at teamsuccess@a.team to create an offboarding plan — and set an end date with the company you have an active mission with.
Step 2: Communicate with your teammates.
After you’ve created an offboarding plan with Mission Success and the company, communicate with your teammates. Share your plan, and start to phase off from starting new projects.
Step 3: Set your successor up for success.
Wrap up your documentation and create a knowledge transfer plan for the rest of your team. Whether someone is replacing you or not, it’s great to leave this behind.
Step 4: Return any borrowed assets to the company.
If you got any equipment, now is the time to send it back. Ask for a box and shipping label to ensure that the device is returned safely.
Step 7: Debrief with the Mission Success team.
Reach out, and we’ll schedule a call to learn about your mission experience.
Step 6: Submit your final timesheet.
You may have to wait until the end of the pay cycle to submit your last timesheet.
When you’re ready for your next mission, update your availability on your profile, and start requesting open missions that look interesting to you:
